CoMPLEX Administration Assistant
CoMPLEX is UCL’s world-class interdisciplinary centre, applying cutting edge techniques in mathematics, physics, engineering and computer sciences to problems in the life and medical sciences.
CoMPLEX requires a highly organised administration assistant to assist with the financial and clerical administration of the department. Duties will include administration relating to student admissions and the maintenance of student records, arranging meetings and other department events, helping with the presentation and advertising of the department’s activities, assisting with the detailed financial activities for the department and dealing with enquiries as they arrive in an efficient, friendly and informative manner.
The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills to ensure they can provide support to staff and students. They will be able to communicate well orally and in writing. A sound knowledge of IT and experience of financial administration is essential. G.C.S.E grade A-C in English and Maths and ‘A’ Levels (or equivalents) are required for this role. The programme is supported by a recently renewed Doctoral Training Centre grant from the EPSRC, so funding is available for the role for at least six years.
The appointment will be made on the Grade 6 scale: £24,330 - £28,537 pa inclusive of London Weighting.
